Alliumiere

In my garden I have numerous tiny alliums. What fascinates me about them is the way the colour changes as they flower - forming a parrallel line as the the vivid purple seeps into the lime green flower until the flower has absorbed all of the pigment. I have made a lino print of this too but in contrast Alliumiere is from the perspective of a close-up. Part of my Places series, graduated vibrant pigmants, wire drawings of the petal forms and pattern detail enhanced with metallics create the essence of this image.
